Kongamano la 33 la siku tano la Chama cha Afya ya Jamii Tanzania (TPHA) lililofanyika Hoteli ya Kebby Mwenge jijini Dar es Salaam:Habari katika picha

Kushoto ni  Mwenyekiti wa TPHA anayemaliza muda wake, Daktari Bingwa  Elihuruma Nangawe.

MADAKTARI nchini wametakiwa kufanya mikutano ya kijamii na wananchi ili kuwapa fursa ya kujua magonjwa yanayo wakabili.

Hayo yalielezwa na Dk. Manase Frank pichani wakati akitoa mada katika kongamano la 33 la siku tano la Chama cha Afya ya Jamii Tanzania (TPHA) lililofanyika Hoteli ya Kebby Mwenge jijini Dar es Salaam leo asubuhi.

"Changamoto kubwa tuliyonayo ni wananchi wengi kutojua magonjwa yanayowasumbua hivyo ni muhimu kwa madakatari kuitisha mikutano itakayowakutanisha na wananchi ili kuondoa changamoto hiyo" alisema Dk. Frank.

Alisema wagonjwa wengi wamekuwa wakikata tamaa kwa kuchangiwa na kauli za baadhi ya madaktari ambao wanashindwa kujua tatizo la mgonjwa husika hivyo wakati umefika wa madaktari kushirikiana kwa karibu na jamii, viongozi wa dini  ili kuondoa changamoto hiyo.

Akitolea mfano wa kijana mmoja ambaye alifiwa na ndugu zake wote wa karibu kutokana na ugonjwa wa ukimwi na kuishi kwa kunyanyapaliwa lakini baadaye afya yake ilikuja kuimarika kufuatia ushauri uliotolewa na daktari kwa  jamii iliyokuwa ikimzunguka wakati wa ugonjwa wake.

Mtoa mada mwingine Profesa Andrew Swai aliomba serikali wakati wa siku ya Jumamosi na Jumapili kufunga baadhi ya barabara ili zitumike kwa wananchi kufanya mazoezi ya kutembea ili kujenga afya za miili yako na kuepukana na magonjwa kama kisukari.

Akizungumzia changamoto ya matumizi ya bodaboda Dk.Chilolo Edward (wakatikati)  alisema kwa mwaka jana katika Hospitali za mikoa ya  Morogoro, Tumbi Pwani na Shinyanga kulikuwa na ajali 895 huku majeruhi wakiwa 4813.

Alisema majeruhi waliolazwa katika hospitali hizo walikuwa ni 4525, waliopewa rufaa kwenda hospitali za Bugando na Muhimbili walikuwa 71 na waliolazwa ni 702.

Alisema vifo vilikuwa 81 hivyo vilitokea baada ya kufikishwa Hospitalini ni 70 na vilivyotokea eneo la ajali vilikuwa 11.

Dk.Chilolo alisema ili kupunguza changamoto hiyo inapaswa watoa huduma za afya kutoa elimu kwa waendesha boda boda pale wanapofikishwa mahospitali kuhusu umuhimu wao katika familia na taifa kwa ujumla hivyo kuwa makini wanapoendesha vyombo hivyo vya moto badala ya kuacha kazi hiyo kufanywa na polisi au Sumatra.kwa habari zaidi

 Project Coordinator-Alcohol Harm Reduction Project 

                 (Violence Against Women-VAW)

 

The Tanzania Public Health Association (TPHA), is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the position of Project Coordinator VAW funded by IOGT NTO Movement (full-time).

Tanzania Public Health Association (TPHA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization with a broad based multidisciplinary membership. TPHA was registered under the Ministry of Home Affairs on the 27th of December 1980 with registration No. 6210. The association further obtained a Certificate of Compliance No.0751 to the new NGO Act of 2002 in May 2008, from the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children.

Through working collaborations with IOGT, we secured funds to operationalized VAW Project since 2011 to date. The first phase of the Project ends on December, 2016 and a second phase will pick up from there.

We as TPHA are therefore recruiting VAW Project Coordinator to coordinate the project

Roles and Responsibilities

 i. Coordinate Project activities, resources, equipment and information kit
ii. Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
iii. Make certain that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves
iv. Help prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budget v. Monitor and track project’s implementation and outputs of activities.
vi. Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all parties.
vii. Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans and resources used in VAW Project
implementation.
viii.Custodian all VAW appropriate legal documents
ix. Report and inform the TPHA Executive management as needed.
x.  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
xi. Build up a team in execution of the work
xii. Conduct research to inform project implementation and establish basis for future conceptualization

Requirements

  i. 3 years of experience in participating in project management
 ii. Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers for the delivery of projects
iii. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
iv. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 v. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
vi. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools
 vii. BA/Bsc in a related field

The Successful candidate will be initially appointed on a one year contract (renewable) on mutual agreement. He/ She will be accountable to the TPHA Executive Board and answerable to the TPHA Executive Secretary on the day-to-day activities.
An attractive salary scale negotiable based on qualification and experience .
