Construction of the new teaching hospital for the Muhimbili
University of Allied and Sciences (MUHAS) at Mloganzila in the outskirts
of Dar es Salaam will take much longer as the government is yet to
disburse the additional 18bn/- required to compensate residents residing
near the project area.
According to MUHAS the amount has been increasing yearly after some
of residents refused to receive the payments and filed a case at the
High Court demanding for extra money.
Following the case at the High Court in Dar es Salaam, MUHAS was forced to stop the implementation of the project.See More
